Your SET Score: Measuring Your Impact on the Platform

Your SET Score reflects your overall performance on the platform, influencing your ability to receive more students and earn additional incentives. It is calculated based on four key factors: Trial Score, Renewal Score, Attendance Score, and Quality Score. A higher SET Score increases your chances of receiving more students and earning additional incentives.

Your final SET Score is determined by how your individual scores (Trial, Renewal, Attendance, and Quality) compare to those of the broader teacher community. Rather than being calculated in isolation, each score is assessed within the context of the community distribution, and your ranking within that distribution directly impacts your final score. The SET Score is updated monthly, on the first day of each month, based on your most recent performance relative to the community distribution.

How SET score works

Your score is determined by the following factors:

Trial Conversion (Trial Score): This measures how effectively you convert trial students into long-term students. It is based on your performance over the past three months and considers both the number of trial students who successfully enroll and the overall conversion rate.

Long-Term Student Renewal (Renewal Score): This reflects how successfully your students renew their lesson packages. It is calculated based on your performance over the past three months, considering the number of long-term students (LT students) who renew their packages within 30 days of the teacher-parent recap during last 5min of class (for classes with the "discuss renewal" tag) and the total renewal rate.

Attendance (Attendance Score): This assesses your reliability in attending scheduled classes. It is based on your performance over the past month and considers factors such as:

  • Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 7 days' notice
  • Teacher no-shows

  • Teacher IT-related issues affecting class delivery

While these factors negatively impact your score, completing more classes positively contributes to it. If you do not have any of the above issues, you will receive a full score for this category.

Teaching Quality (Quality Score): This evaluates your adherence to the platform’s quality standards. It is based on the past month’s Quality Assurance (QA) checks. Any failed QA checks negatively impact your score. The QA team can check a class up to three months after it is conducted, so maintaining consistent quality is essential.

Your final SET Score is the result of how each of these individual scores ranks within the overall teacher community, giving you a holistic view of your most recent performance in comparison to other teachers on the platform. Each category contributes the following weight to your final score:

  • Trial Conversion: 15%

  • Long-Term Student Renewal: 15%

  • Attendance: 35%

  • Teaching Quality: 35%
