🎤 Monthly Recap

👋 As you wrap up the month with your long-term students, it's time for you to invite the parents to join the last 5 minutes of class for a brief Monthly Recap. You'll notice the classroom is tagged with 'Parent 1:1', so it’s easy to determine the class you will connect with parents.

📚 The goal of the monthly recap is to briefly reflect on key learning moments from the past month, celebrate student progress, highlight engagement, and share a quick preview of what’s coming next. This helps reinforce learning and gives students a sense of continuity.

🧠 For your "parent 1:1" class, our system will automatically upload a recap slide to your classroom. At 45min mark, ask if parents can join a quick feedback conversation, then open the recap slide inside of your classroom. You will see the AI generated recap notes under AI Copilot section when you use the recap slide. Please note that this content is only visible to you and not to the parents.

If you want to review the AI generated recap notes ahead of class time, you can review this in the Practice Classroom when you open the recap slide there, up to 12 hours before the start time. Or you can enter your scheduled class up to 10min early to review the AI Copilot content. These notes are a great starting point if you want to plan ahead or customize the recap.

📝 TIP for teachers:If you're preparing your recap in advance, you can fill in the notes directly in the Practice Classroom. Just remember — those annotations are not auto-saved to the live classroom slides. So, if you want to reuse what you wrote, take screenshots and upload them to your class to refer back during your session.

🎯 Keep the recap short and purposeful — 5 minutes is perfect.

Focus on:

- One or two standout learning highlights

- A quick shout-out to students or participation wins

- A plan for what’s coming up next month

Some of you may be wondering...Do I still have to complete a monthly recap If you've only met your student once, twice or even only three times? The short answer is YES, PLEASE complete the monthly recap! It is a great idea to get in the habit of meeting with the parents of your students at the end of each month. Since you haven't had a FULL month of learning, you can use this meeting as more of a check in, but please remember to pull up the Monthly Recap Slides to guide the conversation!

Parents value your insights, and your feedback helps both them and students achieve their learning goals. Thank you for your dedication to delivering high-quality education!
