Progress Check-ins
Think of progress check-ins as periodic assessments for students. For every four lessons, the system will automatically generate a progress check-in. Currently, progress check-ins only cover Math for grades 1-8 and ELA for grades 3-8. The content is crafted by Cosmo AI, which analyzes what students have learned in the past four classes along with their performance, ensuring that the assessment matches recent learning objectives. For Math, each progress check-in contains 12 questions. For ELA, it varies b/t 4-6 questions. For ELA, there is one special situation. If you teach writing classes, the assessment may include some grammar questions, as grammar is very important in ELA writing. That said, these grammar questions are not necessarily covered in your last 4 classes, but closely related to the writing topics student learned.
How to find students' progress check-in reports?
First, open the app and find the target student. Click on the assessment section on the student's page to view all assessment reports. If you want to locate a specific progress check-in, you can search by the date or assessment description.

The report includes several sections. On the top left, it displays the accuracy rate. Under the score, it lists the key concepts covered in the four lessons, clarifying the assessment scope. In the middle, it shows the student's performance, which is categorized by knowledge point. For example, "Subtract fractions with like denominator" corresponds to questions 11 and 12, both answered correctly, "Subtract a fraction from a whole number" includes two questions, with one answered correctly and one incorrectly. On the bottom section, you can simply click on the question number and it will take you directly to the question. If you want to move to another question, click "Answer Sheet" at the bottom, you will be able to view all question numbers again.

Progress check-ins help identify students' learning weaknesses. We recommend focusing on these areas in the coming classes, using the assessment results for targeted review. You can also pull similar questions from the question bank for additional practice and reinforcement. If needed, adjust the PLP to tailor the learning pace for the student. Additionally, this report can be a helpful tool when recapping with parents.
