Student App Homepage

Here's a glimpse into what students see when they open the Cosmo app. While you can both join class and chat with one another, the student homepage and features are a bit different than yours. You don't need to memorize exactly what the student app looks like, but we want you to be familiar with some of the features students have access to.

Max doesn't have any new messages, but if he did, he could check them by clicking on the envelope in the upper right corner. And as Max completes classes with Cosmo, he'll start a streak! Max can click on the little jar icon to see more, or he can click on the self-portrait to go to his achievement page. Have any of your students asked for reading recommendations? We, of course, encourage you to recommend your favorite books for students their age, but there's a fun way for students to find our recs right in the app, too. When they click on the bookshelf, they can see Cosmo's recommended reading lists.

There are four lists based on grade band, K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Students can scroll through each list, read a bit about the book, and even chat with Cosmo to learn more - or to talk about the book when they're done reading it!

Right in the middle, you probably noticed the chat button. Students have lots of opportunities to chat with Cosmo, powered by AI. When they click chat, they can converse with Cosmo on the right-hand side of the screen, or even upload an image of something they need help with.

At the bottom, you'll see Max's daily quests. He hasn't yet booked next week's class, and he can head over to the practice feature to brush up on some key concepts. Or perhaps he wants to play a round of "Battle of the Brains"! You can check out our other videos all about the features found in the "explore" tab - including the math and ELA practice sets, as well as the battle of brains and our AI essay grading tool.
